Kansas State University, Department of Grain Science and Industry, selected ASI Industrial as part of a team to construct the new feed mill project, O.H. Kruse Feed Technology Innovation Center. ASI Industrial?s role as the Feed Mill Contractor, was the design, engineering, and construction of the feed milling portion of the project.
ASI Industrial designed and constructed a slip form concrete structure to serve as the ingredient receiving terminal, ingredient storage, batching tower, processing tower, and loadout system for the new feed mill. ASI Industrial designed the flow and process according to the needs and desires of the Grain Science and Industry, as well as designing around all of the equipment that was to be donated by various industry participants.
ASI Industrial installed the Owner provided equipment and completed the electrical work inside the feed mill as well as the Feed Safety Research Center. The Feed Safety Research Center was designed to be a Bio Security Level II facility, and received federal certification for that standing shortly after project completion.
The project included storage of over 30 ingredients, dual batching systems, pelleting systems in both the main feed mill and FSRC, dust collection , truck receiving, and truck loading.
