Grain Terminals

ASI Industrial has been involved in grain terminals around the nation, from the Port of Brunswick Georgia to the Deserts of Southern Arizona. We have designed and constructed small and large grain terminals, specialty grain terminals and many expansions to grain terminals.

A recent project involved a barley elevator for Anheuser Busch. This facility included an eight pack of concrete silos, a barley cleaning area integral to the concrete house, one million bushels of grain storage in steel tanks, truck receiving, and rail load-out systems.

Food Processing

Throughout its history, ASI Industrial has served the food industry - from breakfast cereal manufacturers to beer manufacturers. ASI Industrial has cleaned grains and other products, has conveyed and stored, flushed and separated, and in all cases provided prime contracting services.

ASI Industrial recently built the first chicory processing facility in North America. Chicory is grown and roasted as a substitute or additive to coffee. Chicory enjoys a great amount of favor in the South Eastern United States. But up until 2005, this product was imported from Europe. The facility below boasts drying of the chicory, cleaning, chopping, roasting, and blending of different marietals and different roasts to provide the best product possible.

Feed Milling

ASI Industrial has been recognized as a leader in feed mill design and construction for many years. Throughout our history we have built small, specialized feed mills and enormous commercialized feed mills. ASI Industrial builds with both steel or slip form concrete mills depending on which method provides the greatest benefit at the best value. ASI Industrial feed mills are used to feed swine, poultry, sheep, beef cattle, horses, rabbits and other livestock.

A swine feed mill in Texas and poultry feed mill in Utah are two noteworthy projects completed by ASI Industrial in the past few years. The first was a concrete feed mill built for a pork producing company. This mill included 75 nested concrete square bins, 150 ton per hour batching, nearly 90 ton per hour pelleting capacity, fully biosecure site, feeds an 80,000 sow swine operation (nearly 1,800,000 head annual production). The second mill featured a specialized mill for feeding a poultry layer operation in the deserts of Utah. This steel mill boasted only a few ingredients, but processed feed at nearly 60 ton per hour with a single point truck loading system. The customer required accuracy well under 1 pound increments, and the customer’s needs were met.

Corn Processing

ASI Industrail has assisted with numerous types of corn processing plants. In the recent past, a new form of corn processing plant has become utilized. These plants utilize an existing technology of steam flaking corn, but take it to a much higher and more efficient capacity.

Material Handling for Ethanol Plants

ASI Industrial has helped complete several ethanol plants providing Design Build services for all phases of bulk material handling for the plant. These scenarios typically involve the receiving of the cereal grains, whether the receiving is via truck, rail, or both. The scenarios involve the storage, screening, and milling of the cereal grains prior to fermentation as well.

Additionally, ASI will also provide services for the “back end” of the ethanol plants as well. This design build work typically involves the handling and storage of the wet cake (or wet distillers grains), as well as the storage and handling of the dried distiller grains. In most cases loadout system to rail, truck, or both for the distillers grains are involved in these projects as well.
